Loving you

This is a poem I bought framed, at a craft show,
and has been one of my most treasured treasures ever since.

If God in His infinite wisdom
should call my name today,
I'd wish for just a little time
before I went away.

A little time to spend with you
And see just one more smile.
Time to sit by your side
and hold your hand awhile.

Just once more to speak your name
and feel the warmth of your touch.
One more chance to see the face
of the one I love so much.

I know that God won't grant more time
when my life here is through.
But if He calls my name today
I'll leave this world loving you.
