Eleanors Rose
I had a rose named after me and I was very flattered. But I was not pleased to read the description in the catalog: "No good in a bed, but fine against a wall."
I love the roses! Thanks for your post on my blog. It's good to hear that the "boys will be boys" excuse is falling out of favor. How'd you find my blog?
Hi 'k'! Thanks for the love on the roses, roses are some of my absolute faves, so when i saw this funny quote by Mrs.Eleanor, i just couldn't resist. Left a comment on your boys-will-be-boys post as to how i found your blog... Come back when you can : ) Peace & Love, P'Belle
I like them, but the lost the business many years before I was born. I didn't know about the Eleanor Roosevelt roses until a couple of weeks ago when I ran across the picture of my great grandmother and Eleanor Roosevelt.
My great grandparents founded Tyler Roses, and my great grandfather made some new roses.
I came across your blog when I stumbled across that quote from Eleanor.

I'm glad to have another virtual friend! Have a good day.
The woman that named the rose after Eleanor Roosevelt was my great-grandma. :-)

Are you into roses as much as your great-grandmother was?
I'd love to read some bio on her...
Thanks for stopping by my blog and taking time to read, it's nice to know there really are people out there reading my stuff...
